Carissa Claire - Jazz Trumpeter

Carissa Allik is a dynamic and versatile trumpet player, jazz vocalist, visual artist, and educator based in Seattle, Washington. Since beginning her professional career at age 11, she has established herself as an in-demand performer, appearing regularly in both Seattle and New York City. She has shared the stage with world-renowned artists including Wayne Bergeron, Marshall Gilkes, Kenny Garrett, Demondrae Thurman, the Charles Mingus Big Band, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernández, Martina DaSilva, Celisse, Russell Hall, John Swana, and Sarah Hanahan.

Carissa maintains an active career as a freelance performer and educator throughout the Seattle area. Alongside private practice, she is an instructor at Seattle Drum School of Music, and is currently mentored by iconic trumpeter Ingrid Jensen and saxophonist/teaching artist Steve Treseler.
